Meihou vs Aiwa was the last game of the Final Four of the Aichi Prefectural Tournament.

Meihou qualified for the national tournament by winning the Prefectural Tournament, whereas Aiwa qualified by finishing second.

Aiwa’s captain Dai Morobishi got injured in the 18th minute in a clash with Hiroshi Morishige, and could not return until there were just 5 minutes remaining in the game. Meihou took advantage of this situation to build a lead that could not be overturn by Morobishi despite his best efforts in the final minutes of the game and even though Morishige fouled out in the 36st minute.
